Two Websites

As you may have noticed, the Spoken For Magazine website looks different.  Peter Crow has so generously donated his time and talents to creating a new website for the magazine.  Also, Colton Redwine is completely our website for the “After His Heart” Purity Conference.

Technical Difficulties: What To Do

We are experiencing a few problems with both websites.  Some pages are not loading up yet, and a couple of forms are not working.  We hope to have those fixed soon, but until then, here’s what you can do if you need to get in touch with us.

How to contact us:  To register for “After His Heart,” or to contact us for any reason, please email: spoken_for_magazine@yahoo.com.  For registration, please tell us your name, age, and the name of the church you attend.

What's New in Spoken For Magazine

“Answers for a Chosen Generation”

“Answers” is here for people who have questions about God, faith, or anything related to Christianity.  These, like the event information, will be posted on our website.  If you would like to send a question, please email: spoken_for_magazine@yahoo.com.

“105:2”

The psalmist writes, “O give thanks unto the LORD… talk ye of all his wondrous works.” (Psalm 105:1a, 2b)  Spoken For Magazine wants to give you an opportunity to do just that: talk about God’s “wondrous works.”  What amazing things has He done for you?  Tell us about them!  Email: spoken_for_1052@yahoo.com.

Important

If you are using dial-up to access the purity conference Website, the home page takes a few minutes to load the xml data for the online "Separate Registration". It may look like there is nothing there, but please be patient. It will load.

Welcome to Spoken For Magazine's official website!

We hope that you will be blessed by this online resource.  This website contains news and information about SFM that are not always available in our bi-monthly publication. This website also has a link to our freewebs site where you can read SFM issues online!  Our page, "For New Believers" contains an article for new Christians, and "An Invitation" describes how you can begin a personal relationship with the Jesus Christ.

Many people ask us what the phrase "Spoken For" means.  If any of you have heard the song "Spoken For" by the CCM group MercyMe, you probably know that the phrase is used to connote something or someone that is reserved, or chosen--in this case, someone chosen by God himself.  Something that is spoken for is no longer available; rather, it belongs to someone.  In the same way, those who have surrendered their lives to Christ are spoken for.  They are not their own, the world's, or Satan's; they are spoken for by God Himself, and they do not live under the control of sin anymore.

The message that we would like to proclaim to Christian young people throughout Northwest Florida is this: Christ died for you, not only so that you could have your sins forgiven, but also so that you can live a changed life.  Growth is vital in the life of a Christian, and much of that growth involves change that only the Holy Spirit can bring about in a person's life.  SFM exists to encourage you in your continual pursuit of Christ.  This website, our magazine, and our ministry as whole is meant to assist young people as they grow in Christ and realize whose they are: God's.

How does this realization affect a Christian's life?  How should a Christian, who is "spoken for", live?  Our archives contain many articles from people who have considered those same questions and have found answers.  We encourage you to read through some of those articles and benefit from their wisdom.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the Christian life or the Christian faith; we would be happy to talk with you.

Enjoy the website!

In Christ alone,

Victoria Crow
