Welcome to Spoken For Magazine's official website!

We hope that you will be blessed by this online resource. This website contains news and information about SFM that are not always available in our bi-monthly publication. This website also has a link to our freewebs site where you can read SFM issues online! Our page, "For New Believers" contains an article for new Christians, and "An Invitation" describes how you can begin a personal relationship with the Jesus Christ.

Many people ask us what the phrase "Spoken For" means. If any of you have heard the song "Spoken For" by the CCM group MercyMe, you probably know that the phrase is used to connote something or someone that is reserved, or chosen--in this case, someone chosen by God himself. Something that is spoken for is no longer available; rather, it belongs to someone. In the same way, those who have surrendered their lives to Christ are spoken for. They are not their own, the world's, or Satan's; they are spoken for by God Himself, and they do not live under the control of sin anymore.

The message that we would like to proclaim to Christian young people throughout Northwest Florida is this: Christ died for you, not only so that you could have your sins forgiven, but also so that you can live a changed life. Growth is vital in the life of a Christian, and much of that growth involves change that only the Holy Spirit can bring about in a person's life. SFM exists to encourage you in your continual pursuit of Christ. This website, our magazine, and our ministry as whole is meant to assist young people as they grow in Christ and realize whose they are: God's.

How does this realization affect a Christian's life? How should a Christian, who is "spoken for", live? Our archives contain many articles from people who have considered those same questions and have found answers. We encourage you to read through some of those articles and benefit from their wisdom.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the Christian life or the Christian faith; we would be happy to talk with you.

After His Heart

After His Heart 2009 (SFM's 2nd annual purity conference) was held at Rocky Bayou Baptist Church on October 10, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The event was an overwhelming success - over 100 people were present, friends were made, and hearts were touched.

Lesley & Ryan Ray, a couple in their twenties, led two separate sessions for the guys & girls... four student leaders had classes as well. 3 o' Clock Station, a local college band, led worship and performed a small concert around the end.

All in all, it was a day filled with fun & friends, but the message of purity struck home with many hearts. After the event, several people told us what an impact the speakers had made on their lives & relationships. Some wanted to find out more about the event & about purity. Many took resources home to encourage them on their path of purity.

We thank God for how He blessed this event and look forward to any events in the future, as God leads us. To find out more about After His Heart, or to contact us about volunteering in the future, please call Victoria Crow: (850) 836-4591.

**Photos of After His Heart 2009 are available on Facebook.**

The Merge: a gathering of Christians in Walton County

I would like to introduce The Merge. The Merge first began in July '08, as the Lord laid upon our hearts to demonstrate TRUTH & LOVE through an activity that would involve every generation. Whether saved or lost, depressed, oppressed, or filled with joy, no matter what your social status may be, how you dress, what color your hair, piercings, tattoos, or whatever the case may be ~ YOU are invited to hear the word of the Lord.

We are a group of people (some a little on the weird side, and some normal) seeking the Lord's face for unity in our town of DeFuniak Springs, FL and throughout the nation. We offer different genres of praise music to our Heavenly Father as well as different speakers, and some dance/dramas to let the Glory of the Lord fall down on people of ALL AGES and it's all free!! We just want to be able to share the love of our Lord Jesus Christ with others & to go out in the nations and to spread the word of our Father in Heaven. Everything we do, we do for the Lord and remain nameless and faceless....... For more more info you can email: silverhagan@yahoo.com, or check us out on MySpace at:  www.myspace.com/seriousunityandloveinusa!! REMEMBER: JESUS LOVES YOU even when you feel that no one else does!!

- Kelli Hagan, Coordinator of “The Merge”
