God extends an invitation to every person in the human race: He wants to come into your life and save you.

Every person has sinned against God and deserves to go to hell.  But God provided a way that you can be with in Him, for eternity, in heaven.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth, literally, in human form.  He lived a perfect life, doing many wonders and miracles and teaching people about God.  He died on a cross, an innocent man, to pay for your sins.  Three days later, He rose from the dead, conquering the power of sin and death.  Today He intercedes on behalf of believers in Christ.  People who receive Jesus into their lives, accepting His forgiveness for their sins, are reconciled to God and can live forever in heaven with the Lord.

If you want to receive Jesus Christ into your life as your Savior and Lord, there are a few things you must do:

1. Admit that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself.  Repent of your sin and turn from it, asking God to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
2.  Believe that Jesus is God's son and that He died for you and was raised again.  Through Him, and only through Him, can a person come to God and have eternal life.
3.  Accept God's forgiveness for your sins as you invite Him into your life as your personal Savior and Lord.

Here is a sample prayer that you can pray when you become a Christian:

Father in heaven,
I know that I am a sinner and cannot save myself.  I repent of my sins, and I belive in Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for my sins and was raised again from the dead.  I accept Him into my life to be my Savior and Lord, and I ask that, through His sacrifice, you would forgive my sins and give me eternal life.  Please come into my life and take control.  Thank you, Father.  Amen.
